Licensing & Ownership
1. Ownership of User Content
Except for the license you grant below, you retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the digital drawings and content you create and upload to You Draw Next ("User Content").
2. License Grant to the Platform
By creating or posting User Content, you grant You Draw Next (the "Company") a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid-up, perpetual, irrevocable, and sublicensable license to host, store, use, display, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and distribute such User Content in any and all media or distribution methods now known or later developed. This license enables the Platform to operate, including rendering, generating previews, providing cloud storage, and supporting collaborative features.
3. Collaboration & Derivative Works
Because You Draw Next is a collaborative environment, the following rules apply to maintain community integrity:
- Interaction: You grant other users of the Platform a limited license to view and interact with your User Content, and to create derivative works (i.e., "drawing next") based on your layers as intended by the Platform's functionality.
- Persistence of Chains: To ensure that collaborative "chains" of art are not broken, the license granted to the Company for any User Content contributed to a multi-user project is irrevocable, even if you delete your account or cease using the Platform.
4. Transferability & Successors
You agree that the Company may assign, transfer, or sublicense any of its rights and obligations under these Terms, including the licenses granted by you in Sections 2 and 3, to any successor entity or third party in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, reorganization, or by operation of law, without further notice or consent.
5. Marketing Rights
You grant the Company the right to use screenshots or excerpts of your User Content for marketing, promotional, or research purposes to help grow the You Draw Next community, provided that such use is done in a manner consistent with the Platform's privacy settings.
6. Account Deletion
If you delete your account, the Company will make reasonable efforts to remove your personal identifiers from public view; however, you acknowledge that your contributions to collaborative works may remain visible to maintain the continuity of those specific creative projects.
